Shamar Wonder delivers his latest project, “Frozen”
Although surrounded by music all his life, it was only after immigrating from Jamaica at the age of 11, that Shamar realized his first love was music. A culture of American and Canadian music was introduced to him from a cousin, and he was hooked. His cousin noticed a raw talent in Shamar at his young age and encouraged him to pursue a dream within the world of music. Growing up in Jane and Woolner and eventually moving to Mississauga, he found himself listening to all of the classics in various genres, from dance-hall, reggae, radio hits, soul music, and even songs from his mother’s church, Shamar was now becoming confident and in touch with his creative side. There was no turning back.
